You Tell Us: What Are You (EV)Thankful For This Year?

Tomorrow, millions of Americans will be sitting down to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, surrounded by family and celebrating the good things that have happened to them this year.

Unless you’re American yourself — or have American family members, the chances are you aren’t planning on celebrating Thanksgiving, but here at Transport Evolved we’re planning on observing this long-standing U.S. tradition by remembering some of the things we’re been thankful for in the electric car world this year.

What are you thankful for this year in the EV world?

What are you thankful for this year in the EV world?

We’ll also be adopting a Thanksgiving theme to our site, with some Thanksgiving-themed stories and a lighter news schedule than normal. And because we have family and friends who are American, we’ll be sitting down to a Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night with our nearest and dearest.

But before we leap headlong into the kitchen to cook our favourite dishes — sweet potato casserole, turkey, stuffing, biscuits, gravy and of course, pumpkin pie — we’d like to ask you, our readers, viewers and listeners, to spend a time thinking about what EV related things you’ve been thankful for this year.

Perhaps you’re glad you made the decision to purchase a new EV, or you’re happy that you’ve finally got a rapid charger in your neighbourhood. Or maybe you’re thankful for all the gasoline you’ve saved by driving an EV.

Whatever you’re thankful for, we want to hear from you. We’ve already asked our Twitter followers to name their picks, but now we’re asking those of you who would like to participate in Sunday’s show to share your thankful picks.

Between now and Saturday evening, we’d like you to film and upload a short video telling us what things you’d like to celebrate in an #EVthanksgiving.  Don’t forget to tell us who you are, where you’re from, and if you drive an EV, what car you have.  You can film it on your smartphone, crack out the camcorder or even just give us a photo slideshow with voice over.

We’d suggest you upload to YouTube, but you can upload the video to wherever is convenient. Just remember to include the hashtag #EVthanksgiving in your description, and either post a link in the Comments below, or comment on our YouTube video above.

And of course, if you’re celebrating, on behalf of the whole Transport Evolved team, we’d like to wish you a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.
