Do you remember being seven? We do. Do you remember playing pretend with cardboard boxes? Same here.
How about sneaking into your parent’s garage and playing pretend with a $100,000 sports sedan? Erm… No.
Yet that’s exactly what happens in TESLA — “Modern Spaceship,” a new fan-made ad for Tesla Motors and its luxury high performance electric sedan.
In it, our intrepid space explorer dons his home-made spacesuit, fires his rocket, and seems content enough exploring the alien world o
f his family’s lounge he finds himself in. Until that is, he discovers a new spaceship parked docked in the garage.
As any curious kid his age would, our explorer soon finds his way into the
driver’s seat pilot’s seat of his parent’s Tesla Model S this unusual spacecraft, props his star chart next to the banks of display monitors, and prepares to take off, complete with the obligatory sound effects, of course.
Just then, a strange being appears on his viewscreen and our explorer fears the worst. Will he be attacked at the helm of his new ship, or will the stranger join him on his adventure?
Of course, it’s just the kid’s dad, who surprisingly seems more than happy to join his kid on a fun joyride through space in a Model S.
Made by college graduates from Everdreampictures, this fun video not only does a great job at showcasing the studio’s technological prowess, but it also shows a sense of humor, a passion for video making and of course, the Tesla Model S.
It also reminds us to be good parents the next time we find our kids playing with our prized electric car, something we’re pretty sure most of us wouldn’t be quite so happy about as the dad in this ad.
