Thought of the Day: Long Distance EV Trip Planning (Mark, April 29, 2014)

Mark responds to Nikki’s thoughts from Monday on if celebrities really influence people’s decision to buy an EV and talks about what he needs to plan a longer distance EV trip.

Unlike our other shows, Thought of the Day is our chance to muse on one big story in the news each day, using it as a spring board to explore other topics, sometimes even outside of the Transport Evolved universe. Every weekday, Nikki and Mark will take it in turns to explore a story that catches our eye, developing a back and forth conversation between Transport Evolved’s two regular hosts.

As with our Quick Charge series, our Thought of the Day will be recorded very simply on a single smartphone, but then quickly edited together using the jump cut edit style popular with many YouTube vlogs. We think this style complements our other shows and offers us a different way to share our thoughts with you, our readers and viewers.

Let us know what you think in the comments below.

You should absolutely go on the long trip and conquer your doubts, worries and fears. The most exciting thing about driving an EV is taking it on a road-trip. Oh, what an adventure it would be, a man and his electric car on a mission! :)nnAnd after you have competed the journey you can share the wonders that you encountered along the way with the TE faithful and the world-wide… world! 😉

It very much reminds me of my sailing days in South Fl. Our friends who own motor boats inviting everyone to this island which is 12 miles away. nUnder sail depending on the wind alone makes this is an adventure that is exciting compared to just getting in your power boat and being there in 20 mins.. nIt’s the thrill of the Adventure… nI love the idea Mark..
