WAVE Update Day 3: June 2, 2014

We’ve had some more photos sent in from the parade through Neuburg, Germany yesterday. Just take a look at this, the WAVE teams were led through the city by an electric fire engine!

As people all over Europe started to head back to work after the weekend the WAVE woke up in München-Garching Tum ready for another day on the road promoting electric cars.

The teams were treated to a tour of Technische Universität München in the morning by Vice President of the university, Dr. Evelyn Ehrenberger.

This was followed by a trip to Schwangau, Germany for a spot of lunch before departing — via the scenic route over the Jachbergpass, of course — to the Sonnenalp resort and spa near Tiefenberg. Here Louis Palmer, organiser of the WAVE, spoke to locals about the trip and what has been happening.

Teams within the WAVE were able to ralax in the evening with a trip to the local baths for a well earned rest.

The teams have been enjoying the WAVE so far, below we bring you some of their smiling faces.

I think that Beetle and T2 are both Rebbl conversions. I wonder how well that Beetle handles, with all that weight in the front of the car?

    • MEroller

Correct, both are Dutch Rebbl conversions with thier original old-style number plates.

I’m very jealous of the Beetle conversion.
