2002 Toyota RAV4 EV, 2013 Nissan LEAF: Transport Evolved Staff Car Update

Here at Transport Evolved, we don’t just cover the latest news in the world of cleaner, greener, safer and smarter transportation: we try and live with cleaner, greener, safer and smarter transportation day by day.

And while we’d love to be able to afford something like a high-end Tesla Model S or Model X, our staff car garage (split between the Gordon-Bloomfield household in Portland Oregon and the Walton-Elliott household in Olympia, Washington) are a little more modest. At the moment, our collaborative garage consists of two original Toyota RAV4 EVs, a 2013 Nissan LEAF SL, and a original Honda Insight Hybrid. And a 1969 Morris Minor awaiting conversion to Electric.

We’ll be bringing you an update from the Walton-Elliott household in the coming weeks — but with Sparky the Gordon-Bloomfield RAV4 EV doing well on its new battery pack and our 2013 Nissan LEAF losing its first battery capacity bar at 61,080 miles, we felt it was time for an update from the Portland contingent.
