While Musk wasn’t the first to come up with the idea of traveling in pods which themselves were traveling inside a depressurized tube, Hyperloop Alpha managed to spark the imagination of both engineers and businesspeople alike.
Now, Hyperloop One, one of two commercial companies trying to make Hyperloop travel a reality, has successfully completed a full scale test of a prototype Hyperloop capsule at its DevLoop track north of Las Vegas, Nevada.
But what does this mean for the future of Hyperloop? What does this mean for the future of fast travel? And why should you be excited about this major success in the Hyperloop’s development?
