With more and more electric and plug-in hybrid cars on the roads, demand for public charging infrastructure is at an all-time high, which means we’re seeing more and more queues for public charging stations, and sadly, more … inconsiderate behavior from plug-in car owners who treat particular sites like their own private fueling station.

Of course, one way to reduce queues at public charging stations and improve the user experience is to install more to keep up with demand, as well as more heavily enforce parking restrictions at sites known to have issues with internal combustion engined vehicles ICEing the stations (or to that matter, plug-in owners parking out in front of the charging station long after their vehicle has finished charging).

But there are some other tips and tricks that we can all employ to make sure that everyone has the best possible public charging station experience.
