It’s actually five weeks since Transport Evolved (officially) moved into our new studio. As you can see, things are still a little crazy!

But I’m hopeful over the next few weeks we’ll improve things some more, get some more equipment in, and make it feel a little more like a real studio.

Already done:

Connected Internet and phone
Set up unRAID server for all the Transport Evolved Archives — and awaiting a new server case for the server (as the old one isn’t big enough and doesn’t cool the server enough)
Set up the temporary green screen, lights and camera
Set up Kitchen for refreshments
Set up iMac Pro edit station, and ’slave’ machines for file transfers.

To Do:

Build ‘sets’ for the studio, including green screen wall
Sound proof walls
Set up lighting gantry
Acquire shelving for spare tech, camera gear, etc.
Set up a mini ‘reception’ area for guests (then we can actually accept guests to the studio!)
Set up permanent desk for Nikki and ‘guest editor’ desk.
Set up trunking for hard wiring network.
Decorate the studio and kitchen area!

As I mentioned in the video, if anyone has any EV/Clean tech things they would like to donate to the TE Set, please let me know! I was going to publish the studio address here, but I’ve thought better of it. Instead, if you have something you’d like to donate, reach out to me using the ‘contact’ link of YouTube, and we can go from there!

As always, this isn’t possible without your help. And I’m very grateful to those of you who have held thus far. You really do rock!

Onwards and upwards! (Or rather, time to edit the Nissan LEAF video, as it’s finished transcoding)

Nikki. x
