Electric cars have already proven themselves just as capable as their internal combustion-engined counterparts on both the road and the race track.

But in the world of off-roading (save for a few one-off builds) electric vehicles have yet to gain any…traction.

The reason? So far, very few companies have focused on electric off-roaders — but that’s set to change in the coming few years with companies like Bollinger producing the B1 on-off road truck and traditional brands like Jeep and Land Rover considering their own plug-in models.

Which leads to the question: are electric cars any good off road?
