The more complex cars have become, the less likely it is that owners will service their own cars. As a consequence, there’s quite a lot of misinformation surrounding just where you can get your car serviced — especially if it’s electric.

Some automakers haven’t helped either, through stated or implied restrictions on where and how your electric car should be service.
