Late last week, following yet another week where Tesla was in the spotlight, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that he was considering launching a new website called Pravda (https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/999367582271422464) where the media would be rated on its accuracy and trustworthiness.
While the site itself doesn’t appear to be Tesla specific, it’s clear that Musk was thinking about a way of helping people sort through the mass of Tesla news coverage to figure out which stories were credible and which weren’t.
And if you’re looking for truth and honesty in reporting, it doesn’t seem all that bad an idea… except there are some really big problems with Musk’s proposal that could have a negative impact rather than a positive one.
