To date, the Kia Soul EV has been something of a compliance car in many markets. It has offered a limited range and, priced at a more expensive point than other entry-level cars, resulting in reasonably low sales figures.
With the Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia Niro EV now coming to market, we’d assumed the Kia Soul EV would cease production. But this week, a series of spy shots were revealed of the next-generation Kia Soul EV. It shows a range well in excess of what the current generation Soul EV offers. (https://www.autoblog.com/2018/09/26/kia-soul-ev-spy-photos-250-mile-range/).
Here’s our take on it — and here’s what it could mean in the future.
