Why You Won’t Be Able To Get an Audi e-Tron Yet…

Earlier this autumn, Audi unveiled the production version of the e-tron SUV.

Promising European customers who ordered the limited-production “First Edition” version would get their cars delivered toward the end of this year, with customers elsewhere in the world due to get theirs by this time next, Audi seemed to be ready to enter into the plug-in marketplace with earnest.

But now it turns out that there’s a spanner in the works: a software issue and reported battery shortages could hold the e-tron launch up.
