Over the weekend, CBS’s 60 Minutes ran an interview with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, in which he talked candidly about a variety of things — including his dislike of the SEC, that ‘pot’ incident, and how close Tesla came to financial ruin in the early days of Model 3 production. (You can see the interview for yourself here: https://www.cbsnews.com/video/tesla-ceo-elon-musk-the-2018-60-minutes-interview/ )
As part of the interview, Musk not only praised GM for focusing more on electric cars, but also seemed open to the suggestion that Tesla might consider buying some of the soon-to-close GM facilities for Tesla production.
Here’s why we think it would be an excellent idea.
