Ever since its reintroduction in 2010, Al Oppenheiser  has been the Chief Engineer of the Chevrolet Camaro. Responsible for both the fifth and six generation iterations of this iconic muscle car, his name has become well-known among Chevy and Muscle car fans.

But com January he’s leaving his position on the Camaro team… and becoming a Chief Engineer in GM’s recently formed electric and autonomous vehicle division.
