Here’s What Nissan Needs To Do To Redeem Itself With Electric Car Owners

Nissan was one of the first mainstream automakers to bring a modern mass-produced electric car to market. Only Mitsubishi with its i-Miev beat it to market — and as such, Nissan has enjoyed many years of dominance in the mainstream electric car market.

But a series of poor design choices and PR problems has left Nissan in a far less than stellar position. In fact, many of its earliest electric car owners are now swearing off the brand.

Can Nissan redeem itself? Can it bring new electric cars to market that make up for its previous poor choices? And will its soon-to-launch 2019 Nissan LEAF e-Plus help it to achieve that?
