We’ve already been at CES now for four days, and we finally found our studio at CES!
In addition to filming a collab with Alex from E for Electric, we spent Wednesday learning about a new projected ‘hologram’ for in-car navigation and smart phone integration, got to play with a brand-new battery pack design that includes AC charger, battery management and inverter functions at the cell level (allowing the battery to dynamically reconfigure itself on the fly) and experienced Nissan’s very bizarre augmented reality vision for the future.
We also touched on two very important news stories from Tesla: the court case against Tesla from the family of a teen who died when his Tesla hit a wall at 118 mph (https://electrek.co/2019/01/09/tesla-sued-defective-battery-fire-fatal-crash/) and the axing of the 75 kWh battery pack option for the Model S and Model X — which makes the cheapest Model S and Model X almost $100,000 each (https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1120839_musk-axes-affordable-tesla-model-s-x-75d).
