Think GM Isn’t Serious About EVs? Think Again. It is.

Ever since the crushing of the EV1 by General Motors more than a decade ago, people have remained suspicious of General Motors and its commitment toward electric cars.

Even with its Volt range-extended electric car and more recently, its Bolt EV, some within the electric car world have remained convinced GM is making electric cars under duress — and is still trying to do everything it can to kill them.

But recent comments by GM President Mark Reuss suggest that’s as far from the truth as it’s possible to get. Instead, GM seems to really, finally, be drinking the kool aid.
