Just as more and more companies are starting to show an interest in electric cars, we’re seeing more and more commercial vehicle manufacturers take an interest in electric vehicles.
So far, we’ve seen plenty of new electric buses hit the market, as well as several new options posed for electric haulage. Tesla of course, has its take in the form of the Tesla Semi — a truck which it is promising will enter production in the next year or so. Now PACCAR — the company behind both Peterbilt and Kenworth Trucks — has stepped up to the plate with its offerings.
While Kenworth is busy working on hydrogen fuel cell trucks with Toyota, Peterbilt is working on all-electric models, and we were able to give them a first-glance at CES 2019. Meet the 579EV and 220EV!
