In busy cities, there’s been an ongoing discussion for years about how to clean up the delivery business.
So far, some of the solutions have revolved around using cycle couriers or low-speed electric quadricycles more, as well as switching some of the city delivery fleet from diesel-powered vehicles to electric ones.
But at CES 2019 Continental took its vision for urban deliveries one step further, showcasing how an ANYmal robotic quadruped (from Continental-backed company ANYbotics)– working in tandem with its fully autonomous Continental Urban Mobility Experience (CUbE) — could deliver our packages in the future without a single delivery driver in sight.
