For as long as we can remember Fiat Chrysler (FCA) has been a pretty reluctant manufacturer of plug-in vehicles, making and selling limited numbers of its Fiat 500e (while its executives complain loudly), and producing just one plug-in hybrid to date.
Earlier this week however, it announced a big investment in the U.S. into new manufacturing facilities which, as part ot its announcement, it promised a new electrified future.
Has FCA changed its tune on electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, or is this another reluctant attempt to follow others?
