Why This Tiny Honda EV Should Get You Excited About The City of the Future

Like many of its rivals in the automotive world, Honda hasn’t really been all that serious about plug-in cars.

We’ve seen some concepts, we’ve seen some limited-production electric vehicles, and some compliance cars. And while those limited-production and compliance cars (like the Honda Fit EV) have been fantastic, Honda hasn’t really done a whole lot in terms of plug-in cars.

At this week’s Geneva Motor Show however, Honda revealed the E-Prototype, the final, near-production ready version of a small city compact EV that it says will start making toward the end of this year.
While it’s smaller than most electric cars out there, and has a smaller range, the Honda E-Prototype has gained a lot of attention from traditional automotive journalists and car fans alike.

And here’s why we think you should get excited about it too.
