Limiting Tesla Supercharging (And Other EV Quick Charging) To 80% — Why It’s Smart

Last week, Tesla changed its Supercharger policy at certain busy Supercharger sites — ending charging sessions at eighty percent full rather than one hundred percent full.

It caused enough of a stir among Tesla fans that Tesla then rolled out a way for customers to override that 80 percent limitation. But while some may not like the 80 percent Supercharger limit — we think it’s a good policy that most electric car owners should follow.
