Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have long been joked about as the vehicle of the future — but never the present.

And in the past week we’ve seen hydrogen fuel cell vehicles hit the headlines after two hydrogen explosions and a stop sale in Norway on all FCVs. Meanwhile, in the U.S., Toyota is throwing seriously large sums of money at dealerships in order to sell Mirai fuel cell sedans.

What does it mean? Is Hydrogen doomed as some commentators suggest? Is this a temporary glitch? Or is the answer more subtle? Watch the video to find out!
