After Confirming €700 Million Investment In It, Here’s What Next-Gen Fiat 500e Needs

The current generation Fiat 500e is very much a compliance car, sold in two U.S. states (California and Oregon) to satisfy their respective zero emission vehicle mandate.

But with more and more places bringing tougher emissions regulations about (except the U.S.) Fiat, just like other automakers, is having to focus more on electric.  Earlier today, it confirmed a new €700 million investment in the Mirafiori plant in Italy, stating that the sixty-year old facility would be home to the new Fiat 500e.

We don’t know a lot about this second incarnation of the hard-to-buy Fiat, but here’s what Fiat will need to offer in order to get the 500e flying off dealer lots.
