Sunday Musing: Should We Be Racing Electric Vehicles In Remote Places?

Formula E has been a true ambassador to the world of electric vehicles, engaging audiences of all ages around the world.

Now the team behind Formula E want to set up a new race series: Extreme E. It will take either battery electric or hydrogen electric race-built off-roaders to extreme and remote places around the world, partly to showcase that electric vehicles have what it takes to do anything, and partly to highlight the threats that those areas face at the hands of global warming.

But as with any race series, there’s a lot that goes into making the race happen. Teams, Transportation, and lots more.

Today, we’re asking if we should be trying to host races in extreme, vulnerable locations — or if there’s a better way of raising awareness of the challenges and threats these places face?
